Re deploy entire application for each deployment by deleting the existing application from Destination environment
During the regular deployment to higher environments, client would want to delete the entire existing application in destination environment and redeploy the code from source environment. we want to know whether Pega recommends deleting an entire application in any environment while doing a this sort deployment.
If it is not recommended user wants the reason.
if it is recommended ,user wants to know if there is any risks in doing this

In my humble opinion, I would not delete existing application but rather create a new Process Commander installation and load it with the RuleSets you wish to keep.
For instance, Pega didn't have for a long time an utilities to delete ruleset. So we can expect very few customer went down the road of deleting existing application in the past. You don't want to choose a path very few are choosen as you more likely to run into trouble.
Out of curiosity, how do you plan to delete the existing operation?
When you create rules, there are often multiple records being created in multiple tables and also multiple caches are being populated. So I expect undoing this can be tricky and time consuming. These are few comment that the utility to delete ruleset is slow and there isn't much documentation about it.

@MERLX thanks for your response... We were trying to go with the same approach to create a new Process commander installation.. but the business is looking for a different approach to delete/ replace the existing application and re install the entire application.
Also we are on Pega Cloud and have limited access to DB.

You can ask Pega Cloud to create restoration point before deployment and request for backup restore after.
