Why should i use connect wait with load-datapage

i have a query , why should we use connect wait along with Load data page.

Basically we implemented the concept called Join in Threads in JAVA though this Connect-Wait method in PRPC

when we use load-datapage PEGA runs the processing in a background thread. TO get the data to primary thread from all these background threads we have to use Connect-wait. Connect wait synchs all the background threads to primary thread. After the Connect-Wait method, refer the background data pages to retreive the data.
