SmartInfo and Modal dialog are colliding each other

Hi,

We have a smart info, on click of link on smart info ,modal dialog opens. the issue is Modal dialog is opening in back end of smart info.

Because of this it is not giving good user experience. Any way to overcome this?

Hi Sowjanya,

 

We checked the root cause for this issue.

If you open the developer's tool and see the z-index for the smart info will be more than the z-index of the modal dialog (you can check this in the developer tool).

So based on this you can increase the z-Index of the modal dialog in userwork form.

For example: 

In my environment the z-index for smart prompt is 100, and for modal dialog is 9.

So when i change the value of modal dialog from 9 to 200 then it is working as expected.

Please try the same and let me know if it helps.

Hi Sowjanya,

I was trying the same use case and i got the same results that you have mentioned i.e. the smart info section is on top of the modal dialog box.

One work around that you can try is on click of the link you can try closing the smart info section after opening the modal dialog box. 

Meanwhile i will try few other work around also.

Hi Sowjanya,

You can try using "Pega.u.d.doclose" with run script on click of the link.

Other option is you can also try doing a save on click of the link and select the checkbox to close it after save.
