File Listener Startup options

I would like to know which requirement will fulfill 'Runon all nodes','Run on Host based Startup','Node classification based startup'?

i have verified in PDN but didn't get it exactly.Can any one give me brief description on these individual selection?

Hi,

  • Run on all nodes — The listener is run on all nodes — all servers in a cluster.
  • Node based startup — The listener is started only on specified nodes.
  • Host based startup — The listener is started on a specified number of nodes on specific servers within the cluster.
  • NodeClassification based startup — The listener is started on the specified node types

Run on all nodes — The listener is run on all nodes — all servers in a cluster.

Start the listener all nodes, If you have 5 nodes the listener start all node when you start the node.

Node based startup — The listener is started only on specified nodes.

The listener start on the specific node based on your node configuration.

Host based startup — The listener is started on a specified number of nodes on specific servers within the cluster.

If you have 2 host(Server) and 4 nodes for each server, can configure the specific host to start the listener based on your configuration.
