Export to Excel - Log functionality
Hi Pega Community
I have a question regarding the export to Excel functionality. We need to log when this function is used, but it seems that this is not possible on our current version (Pega version 6.2). The activity 'pzViewExportToExcel', which provides this functionality, is final. That means we can’t resave or modify the activity and cannot log when we use this activity. Do you know a workaround or if this is possible in recent releases? Thank you very much for your help in advance.

I can see that in 7.3.1 the @baseclass ExportToExcel is an available rule. May be this can be leveraged further to print required messages in the log.

Customise logging:-https://docs-previous.pega.com/system-administration/84/customizing-logs
Configure logging level settings as required, provide logger name as -Rule_Obj_Activity.pzViewExportToExcel.Rule_Obj_Report_Definition.Action and level as required.
I have tried at my end and was able to configure on for "pzViewExportToExcel" even if it's final rule.
