Scheduling a report on weekely basis
Hello,
I am new to pega and i have a requirement to send a report on weekely basis,i tried one solution suggested by someone to schedule a report using report browser,but that didn't worked for me,is there any other option,i mean to write any activity and convert it to pdf format and send it through email on weekely basis.

Hi Akash,
The best way to do it is using Report Browser. Could you check for the issue in logs that you get while doing this.
It can be done by Activity as well but you need to write a lot of custom code hence not suggested.

I tried that with report browser one question was,when We use Report browser send email notification it takes operator Id as input is there any way by which we can add email ID's to it which do not exist as operator ID? As i am not getting mail after configuring this part,can u suggest me some other things or how to add email id directly,because when i am trying to add direct email id there it shows error and when i am adding operator id it works fine but i am not getting Mail.

Hi Akash,
Can you check if you have an working email account setup and test its connectivity.
Also check if email info is there for the operator that you are trying to add.

Report Browser schedule is the easiest way to schedule. Otherwise, you might end in recreating the same background pattern for the use case, which is to create an advanced agent with an agent activity to use some activities to generate the PDF like CreatePDFExportData and send email for weekly basis( which is pretty much similar to the background process of ScheduledTasks).
You can go through the below video on how to schedule and troubleshoot on report scheduling issues.

Thanks for the video tutorial it was helpful and i tried to trace same thing shown in video everything was fine but still i was not able to get email,i tried all solution to troubleshoot which was there in a video,can u please tell me the other way how to do this using activity and agent it will be a great help,will try that also to run activity using agent can u just share the steps or any video if possible.
