Large Size Attachments
Hi,
In PEGA can we handle larger attachment sizes? In some cases the size of the attachment can be from 500MB to 1 GB. It can be any file Type :)
Even though we increase the size of the blob column to get the attachments stored , writing the file in to server and again storing in to BLOB DB is going to be very expensive process both process & DB operation wise at the time of storing & retrive .
Does pega have any compression logic to store these kinds of huge files in to the DB tables?
I know this is not best practise but , Is this really good mechanism to use PEGA for this kind of lagrge files storing and retreiving? (Instead of local file storage mechanism)?

According to the Help document, file attachments are restricted to 1 gigabyte in size.
Basically you can use this:
<env name="Initialization/MaximumFileUploadSizeMB" value="nn" />
Check what is the limit set in your prconfig.xml or in DSS setting for this.

Hi,
The files are huge size it impact the performance of the application server and generate thread dumps while storing and retrieving may cause problems.
