how to add user based settings in Pega Robotics

Hi,

I've a requirement: want to save some settings for each user and retrieve it whenever is needed.

we can achieve this in windows application development using visual studio by adding the settings. (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/25zf0ze8(v=vs.100).aspx)

How can we achieve this using Pega Robotics Studio?

Any help would be appreciated.

No. It is for deployment package. Our RDA has to read/write the settings of logged in user.

It is purely for a single project.

There are many ways to do this.  A couple of simple ways:

  • Use the ASO Manager and store a data in an Application Key
  • Create a lookup table to store the settings and use the WriteXML method of the DataTable to persist the data to %appdata% and then the ReadXML method to reload when you are starting
