Pega 7.3 Installation
Hi Team I need help to install Pega 7.3 Personal Edition. I downloaded it and it is around 4.7GB. After Installation I clicked in insall.bat file but is within a span of 1 sec it is closing down. Could you please help me?

This could be because of java service not started. May be because of:
1) java is not there.
2) The reason could be, the tomcat folder will have some java heap setting. That heap might be more and your computer is not able to reserve that much space.
Try to investigate on this front.

Can you try running install.bat from command prompt, this will show the error message if any and the screen doesnt close. Run>cmd. Navigate to \script folder in pega media and run install.bat
I guess you might be getting below error and the window closes
"Invoke our ant script, passing in the arguments as collected
Access is denied."
The install/upgrade scripts are ANT scripts and they will be looking for ANT_HOME variable to be set.
Also make sure you have JAVA_HOME set to supported Java installation in your environment variables

Is there any way we can install in 32 Bit?

Hi Yogesh,
I think you can't install pega 7.3 in a 32-bit machine. You can install it in 64-bit machine.
Please try installing it in a 64-bit machine.

Hi Joseph,
It seems that you facing issue while starting the DB server.
Could you please cross verify with the installation guide if you have configured the DB correctly.
Also could you please make sure if pg_ctl is present in your configuration file (it should be inside the bin folder).
If it is present could you please try running pg_ctl manually once and see if it is running or not?

Hi,
As per the stack trace "data" folder already contains some file folders .Please delete content of below folder and then execute installation again
C:\PRPCPersonalEdition\pgsql\data
