No error message when clicking on Open icon for a blank WorkBasket / Skill in Operator Record in Pega 7
- Login to Pega 7 & OPen Operator ID Record
- Go To WOrk Tab & Click on Add Icon for WorkBasket or SKill
- Without entering any data, click on Open (Plus) Icon against the WB/SKill rec
- Ideally an error msg should be displayed saying Unable to Open. No rule by that name exists (as occurs in Pega 6)
- But Pega 7 is opening a new record form. This causes issues when uses view OPerator Records aas they don't have access to create new WBs etc, then are taken to New RUle form & given an access error message "Unable to authorize flow execution..."
How can we overcome this error. We raised Pega SR B45548 but was redirected to Product Support Community"

I checked 6.3sp1 and 6.2sp2 and found in all the cases it is opening up a new rule form .
So I guess it is the same in 7.2 as well.
Having said that, the issue you highlighted will be there for any delegated rule. For example, if you have deligated a Decision Table, in the results field you have option to define a property but if that is blank and you click the icon beside that, it will also open up a new rule window.
So , to me, it might be the way product works and the best way to deal it is showing the access denied kind of message that one gets when they dont have privilege to create a new rule.
