Sorting option sorts on UI but NOT on the Clipboard. Changing the data page to editable resolves this but we cannot set the refresh strategies. Need inputs.

Hi,

I'm using a datapage as a source for repeating grid which is of type Read only. I enabled the sorting option in operations tab of the repeating grid.On sorting, results are getting sorted on UI but in clipboard, results are as is because the data page is read only.When I change the data page to editable,this issue got resolved but with editable datapages we cant set refresh strategies.How can we come out of this.

Hi. We are facing the same issue on v 7.2. We have a repeating grid with 2 buttons View and Edit. When we sort, the display is changed on UI, but when we click on View or Edit, the incorrect record is displayed

Why exactly, you want to sort data on clipboard, when actually it is sorting in GRID? If you want DP to be sorted in particular fashion before render, in source of data-page (with read-only option), you can sort the data.

One option is to directly source the data from report definition instead of using a data page - https://docs-previous.pega.com/using-report-definition-rule-data-source-grid-layout

Hello All,

I'm facing the very same issue when using Read-only Data Page as a source of repeating grid and doing a sort. The data on repeating grid is refreshed but when I expand the grid, it reflects the previous/unsorted data.

Issue is resolved by using an editable Data page but in my scenario I need a read-only DP.
