What is the advantage of creating the case fields in 7.2
I want to know the advantage of creating the case fields in 7.2 ,where do they get stored? why are they getting displayed as default?

The case fields or properties are the variable to store data. If you want to capture some data in your case, you need to create a property(field). When created they get stored in the rules repository representing the model for that property.
When a user creates a case a class representing the case is created. The properties create the structure in that case to capture values-"fields". the case information is stored by default as a Blob in the database.

1.Can I design a case type without the case fields?
As I have studied Pega7.1, I'd llike to make a enter field about user's information in a specific step in a specific stage,which is the common think in 7.1. But the case fields(maybe is blank, request you to make one) always come out when we start a case...
2.But I think it also able to store the data that entered in some step of a specific stage, but not the case field.
