API for Inserting into PC_WORK
Hi!
We are trying to manually add records into the pc_work table. Is there an API that makes this possible? Because of the BLOB, we are not able to just create SQL statements for the insert.
We are using Pega 6.2

It doesn't sound like there is an API, and the easiest way is going to be to create a new flow to get this data into pc_work. Thank you for your response.

Thank you for your reply. That is an option for us, but we were looking for an API so we could insert directly into the database. Essentially, we have data outside of pega and want to put it into pc_work.

Can you be more specific about the data source and your objective? Is it another system of record, with a database accessible by SQL? Or perhaps a spreadsheet/.csv file? Also, are you trying to reproduce an existing case management system? If so, do you need to preserve things like the create operator, creation date, audit trail, etc?
If it's a simple Read/Write operation without any business-process complexity (e.g, no decisions to make), then a good SSA can probably build a nice import flow in a couple days. But if it's a process then I suggest to treat it like any other piece of development: Write user stories, size, prioritize, etc.
