How to make Asynchronous call in pega 7
I have configured three report definitions in a section respectively A,B, and C. when I run the section, currently report definitions executing in order A,B, and C.
How to make them in asynchronous execution, it should execute parallel

You can have them invoked in Pre-Action of FlowAction (unless they're not paramterized based on user input in the section) and store the results in pagelist value and refer page list in the section.

Well, there's gonna be some event preceding it like click of menu, launch of portal etc. You can configure an activity on the event which precedes the rendering of this section.

Can you make the repeating grid layout defer loaded ? That will take care of the asynchronous processing.

I dont see differ load option in pega 7.1.6 grid layout, which version you are using ?
I do see the differ load option in layout container settings when select header type is collapsible.

I actually referred to the defer load setting available in the header setting of grid layout only. Does that solve your purpose ?

Defer load is not asynchronous loading. It is used to defer the load until the UI is rendered.
You can do the below:
1.Create data page for each report defination and make the report defination as the source of the data page.
2. Use Load-DataPage method in the pre processing activity of defer load activity.
3. Give some pool id to track them down.
3.Use wait method to wait till all the data page is loaded.
By this way all the datapages will be loaded in parallel.
