Certifications
Hello,
I work in the consulting industry and I would like to gain an understanding on the certification process in relation to work experience...
1. Is the CSA certification a must to work with Pega?
2. What are the requirements to get CSSA certification in regards to work experience?
3. How is it that CSA and CSSA certifications are completed back to back?
Basically, I'd like to understand how consultants can claim to have years of experience while they only have had their certification for such a short amount of time.

1. CSA certification is not mandatory to work with Pega. However, with the professional certification, it lends credibility and establishes a measurable baseline about what you know about Pega.
2. There are no requirements on work experience for a CSSA certification. According to the exam blueprint (http://www.pearsonvue.com/pegasystems/cssa_exam_blueprint.pdf), the only prerequisites are

Certified System Architect

CSSA eLearning or Immersion (Instructor-led)
3. The CSSA exam can be taken as long as the prerequisites have been met. There is no minimum time period requirement between the 2 exams.
