Create Decision Rules Dynamically - Rules Engine
Hi,
We are working on planning to create rules engine (headless application, No UI). As part of this requirement based on Data from external system i may need to Create decision table and Decision Tree dynamically.
I am sure using Activity and Pupulating Ruke Page XMl with proper data will generate rule, is there any other easy way or best approach to follow ?
Is this implementation recommended by Pega ?

- You can keep a template Decision rule in the system with all the default values already there so that you don't have to populate default values in XML every time.
- Open this template rule on a Page in activity and just replace desired values in this Page XML
- Use OOTB activity pxCreateRecord to create a new rule in the system, this API have all the params needed to create a new rule

I am curious about how this dynamically generated decision rule will be executed?
If all things need to be dynamic are values to be returned by the decision rule, why is it neccessary to create a new rule record at all?

Hi Pankaj,
I understand this may bit confuse for any, the idea behind this is,
Existing legacy application two modules are there 1> Creating Decision Logics(maintenance team) 2> Mapping theses decisions in business process (Process team).
We are in process of moving those rules management and workflow from Legacy system to Rules engine (PRPC).
When some one use module one, legacy system calls rules engine to create those rules.
Later those rules are referred in rules engine Workflow to make decisions..
Hope this gives you some clarification ....
