Spell check in Rich Text Editor

Hello Guys,

We have a requirement like for all Rich Text editor in our application, the spell check should happen only in ENGLISH irrespective of the locale settings.

Is it feasible to implement ??

As per my initial analysis the locale is determined in the below rules. Unfortunately both are FINAL rule that cant be customized..

We got a confirmation from business to proceed with the requirement.

I have customized the above OOTB rules in our application ruleset.

I would want to know more about what the motivation is here, since as stated, it sounds like weird things will happen.

For instance, if the user is in French and types "merci" and the spell check only happens in English, it will complain that "merci" is a misspelling and should be "mercy".  /Eric
