Question about using Data Transform vs Activity

I see this warning in my Activity Rule:

Maintainability: Moderate The use of activity rules should be limited. The need for activities can be reduced by using data transforms, as well as techniques such as case management, the Engine API, and declaratives

In my activity I use the obj-browse method.  Is this a justifiable reason for using an activity.  Or should I use Data Transform.  If it is better to use Data Transform how do I invoke the obj-browse method from Data Transform.

Obj-Browse method is used to populate the pages in page-list and should be used in activity whenever necessary.

Data Transform can be used to populate (append) the pages to a one page-list from another existing page-list.

  • datapage configured with RD will either be invoked via data transform or from a property rule which will avoid creating the activity rule
