Are List-to-List and ListtoList one and the same thing?
So I was looking into options to be able to select a list of values and add it to another list and vice versa. A control called ListtoList on the Advanced tab of the section rule looked like a right fit for my requirement. On further research I found that List-to-List is deprecated in Pega 7. The fact that is causing confusion here is, is it same as ListtoList. When I search in pdn they look like two different things.

- List-to-List is deprecated in Pega 7
- control called ListtoList on the Advanced tab of the section rule is a non auto-generated control
- Build A list in UI gallery is the recommended implementation.

We should not use List2List in Pega7.
Its meant for backward compatibility for applications that are upgrading from lower versions.
Instead leverage Build-A-List
Build-A-List is design pattern and its not a UI Control (Rule-HTML-Property) like List2List.
