Performance issue after upgrade from PRPC6.2 SP2 to PRPC 7.1.9
Hi,
We have upgraded our Pega environment from PRPC6.2 SP2 to PRPC7.1.9 on Websphere Proprietary information hidden and Oracle Proprietary information hidden. After upgrade we are facing extreme slowness in the environment. Whenever we try to Open/Edit/Save Rules, system is taking very long time. When we run the tracer, it takes about 3 to 5 mins for the first 200 rows/steps to display and then it takes another 3 to 5 mins to display next 200 rows and then system hangs.
Could anyone suggest what can be the possible reason? What all are the areas that we need to look into?

Did you get a chance to run through the pre requisites for Pega 7? The same is mentioned at https://collaborate.pega.com/discussion/prpc-5x-6x-platform-support-guide-easy-find
Please use the Pre-Upgrade Environment Scanner https://pdn.pega.com/community/pega-exchange/pre-upgrade-environment-scanner to check if the hardware and software pre requisites are met.

Execute the stored procedure PRPC_RULES.SPPR_REBUILD_INDEXES in the PRPC 7.1.9 rules schema.
Designer Studio >> System >> Settings >> Search here enable indexing for "All Rules".
Click the Re-Index button if index file size is zero; assuming you are performing this for the first time in your newly setup 7.1.9 application.
