connector error handling

Hi,

what kind of error can be detected by StepStatusFail When rule in connector activity? in 6.2, it is said the Infrastructure errors can NOT be detected by using StepStatusFail. In 7.1, it is said using StepStausFail can detect connection not establised.

Just wondering if there are some specifice examples.

Hi,

no specific examples.

THe help says:As an activity executes, the method referenced in each step (implemented in Java) is called and executes. Most methods update the pxMethodStatus property on the pxThread page with a status that starts with one of the values Good:, Warn:, or Fail:. These three values are prefixes to a message key that is looked up as a field value rule.

The when rule you mentioned just check this:

Lib(Pega-RULES:String).inString(pxThread.pxMethodStatus, "Fail")

Nothing more. You can from there check the rest of the message if needed.
