Setting up REST connectors with HTTP MAC Token access authentication scheme

Hi,

I need to configure PRPC applications (7.1.7) to invoke a REST service that uses the HMAC-SHA256 specification to provide message-level security. The outgoing REST message must contain a MAC token that must be generated at our PRPC 7.1.7.

I have checked that in REST connectors we have the following 3 options available for Authentication Profile: Basic, NTLM & OAuth. Also in OAuth, we have an option to use the HMACSHA1, but not HMACSHA256.

Suggestions are welcome..

You would probably need to do the request signing yourself using your required alogorithms in a Java step of an activity you call before making the REST connection.

There are several examples on the net such as this one (use at your own risk).

we are facing the same issue while creating the Connect-REST. How to provide the authentication profile for SHA256 security algorithm.
