Data Table Wizard does not launch
I am trying to complete the exercise for "Introduction to Data Tables". I go to Designer Studio -> Data Model -> Data Tables and click "Add a New Data Table" intending to launch the wizard. The screen refreshes and nothing happens. The Alerts log shows a PEGA0001 alert each time, that the browser response is greater than 1000ms (usually 1.2 seconds or so).
I am on paex16-use.pegacloud.com and Tenant Name: P_RES_SAE1Ex16AM_362
I cannot proceed with the course until this has some resolution.

Two things to check:
1) browser pop-up windows being blocked. The editor opens in a new window, so make sure you allow pop-ups from at least the URL of your exercise environment.
2) browser compatabilty. You have to use IE to work with data tables.

glad it's working. We need to get better at sharing this kind of "very good to know" information - and doing so is a top priority for 2015.

And something like this in particular, because earlier in the training and particularly in the UI lessons a big point is made about how PRPC is cross-browser compatible. Now I know this means the resulting application, but not necessarily every development tool within it. Yep, that's a "good to know"! Thanks again.

Dear Dean,
Data Table Wizard is supported only on IE, unfortunately. The good news is that this will go away and be replaced by something called the "Local Data Storage" in Pega 7.1.7! The basic principles and how it works is very similar to Data Table Wizard, but the UI had been modernized so everything you want to accomplish through the Data Table can be done via the Data Explorer! Very cool.

I found the above note between Scenario and Approach on the "Direct Flow Processing with a Decision Tree" exercise page. I think it would be really helpful to add that to the "Introduction to Data Tables" exercise until the exercise environment is updated to the Local Data Storage feature in 7.1.7
