From 7.1 declare page will be called as Data page but it's the same rule with enhancements, so the declare pages from 6.2 will continue to work in 7.1.

     Data page has it own advantages over Declare Page.

     The following are the advantages.

     1. Data Page can be editable / read only, whereas Declare Page is only read only.

     2. Data Page can be sourced from many options such as lookup, activities, report definition, connect rules , data transforms. Where as Declare Page can be sourced from only Declare activites and Report definition.

     3. Pega 7 has the capability of Automated Testing for Data Pages, where as declare page does not have.

     4. Using Data pages, we can easily achive run time polymorphism.

    It's upto the business use case , whether we have to convert the Declare pages to Data pages.

Hi, 

we are upgarding from 6.2 to 7.16. We are facing loading issue while accessing the declare pages.It loads the old declare page everytime.We even enabed refresh per interaction in the load managment tab of the Declare page and added load-datapage and connect-wait methods in the activity before loading the declare page. It is working in the other threads other than the standard thread. Can someone suggest whether to upgrade the declare page to data page ?
