Is there an easy way to switch between the Pega Express and Developer Portal?
I'm currently running 7.2 and after creating a new application using Pega Express, I would like to switch to Designer Studio portal. I can modify the access group and set developer as the primary portal. But can't see an option from Pega Express to change portals. Is that possible?

In the trial cloud, we do not provide access to the Developer portal.
On-premises, there is an icon in the bottom left of the screen that is visible when Editing mode is turned on that allows you to switch to the Designer Studio.

Do you know if the newest Personal Edition has this functionality built into it? (The ability to switch between environments) I'm asking because I requested a copy of the Personal Edition about a week ago and still haven't heard back so I haven't been able to try it myself yet.

The capability so switch back and forth should be available in Personal Edition for 7.1.9+. It requires that both the Developer and pxExpress portals are listed on the appropriate access group.

I am not able to see "turn on editing" button in Pega express portal if i login as an enduser to pegaexpress portal in Pega 7.2.
where as i can able to switch from designer studio to pega express and here i can see turn on editing button in right below to the screen.
Do we need to add any role to get "turn on editing" button in Pega express portal ?

The Express Studio portal (the one that supports editing) is called pxExpress. Users with Designer Studio access are always allowed to switch to Express. If you want a user to log directly into Express Studio and have the ability to edit the app. The access group must be configured to log into pxExpress with an end user portal as a secondary portal. pyPega7Express is a simple end user portal that is similar to the case worker portal.
By default, we generate an Author@[your org] access group for new apps and orgs that are configured this way.
