Suggest best practices for the rapid production DB growth
Pega Experts,
Our Production DB size is keep growing in an average of 1.5 GB per day.
Right now our DB size is 800 GB approximately and only 20% i.e. 200 GB remaining, Please suggest the best practices with the DB growth.
We are planning to implement Archive and Purge in our system to manage the resolved cases so possibly it will reduce the usage.
Please suggest other ways / solutions for the production DB increment.

1. Check the blob size of work object. Remove unnecessary pages on the work object before its saved.
2. Apply restrictions on attachment size, see if attachments can be moved to repository or external storage.
3. Check the history tables and audit tables. If you are writing unnecessary audit records, start disabling them.
4. Look at PDC reports to review improvement plan especially database section.
