Section refresh closes the applet object

I have a section 'B' ( non auto generated html) inside another section 'A". Section A is blank and has just a html element <OBJECT> tag inside it which creates an applet object . Whenever i refresh section 'A' the applet is getting closed eventhough i have visible conditions or refresh conditions on section B. I want the section B to be loaded just once to create the applet object and it should never be loaded or refreshed again as the applet is getting closed. I want the same applet object to be running through out the session. Any ideas how to handle this?
