Reset virtual machine to initial state

I was wondering how I could delete all my work from the virtual machine.

I would like to go through all the exercises again and I would like to open a fresh session - is this something which can be done?

I tried deleting it from my computer and downloading again but it didn't work. Did I do it wrong or do I need to do something different?

Thanks a lot for your post.

The recommended approach is as you figured out, to start with a fresh Exercise System. The first step is to delete the existing Exercise System folder from the file system. The next step is to download and extract the fresh exercise system.

Solved, simple mistake..havent removed the previous  .vbox file from VirtualBox :)

Hi Marco,

For a fresh start, I removed the exercise system from the system and downloaded it again and extraceted using 7-zip. But, I am finding an error when trying to add the vbox to thevirtual machine as

"Trying to open a VM config 'C:/Users/raj/Desktop/SSA_716_VM_20160120/SSA on Pega 7.1.6/SSA on Pega 7.1.6.vbox' which has the same UUID as an existing virtual machine."

How to proceed further.

Thanks for your reply.

I have tried that and it resumes to the same state after I download the new exercise system - do you know why this happens?

That is strange, can you please be more specific about "it resumes to the same state". For example what is your observation that leads to this conclusion?

Raj,

It is not clear how you ended up into this situation, what I know for sure is that chancing the UUID is not required for using the Exercise System as recommended.

Nevertheless I'm sure the hint "VBoxManage internalcommands ...." will help you move forward again.
