In many projects we would have requirement to have different Case ID Prefix for a same case type cases. Case ID Prefix needs to be changed based on some values which will be available inside case..

When we are using Persist Case smart shape, we are not having any extension point inside persist case smart shape activity. Because of which we are not able to implement dynamic Case ID Prefix logic. Currently pega is taking Case ID Prefix from application rule inside persist case activity...

With pega OOTB code if an extension data transform is provided inside persist case activity, it would be more helpful. We could extend the extension data transform to application layer to place business specific logic.
