Mismatch between question and answer about following Best Practices
Hello,
In the BAE course, Intro to Pega/Best Practices/Page 3, the question at the bottom of the page is mismatched with the answer. Here's the question:
What are the possible consequences of not following best practices and guardrails when designing and building an application on Pega Platform?
The material has been discussing various best practices and the consequences of not following them. For example, poor translation of business needs to implementation and increased development time. Correct answers could include consequences from all the best practices discussed in the lesson. However, the answer given focuses, too narrowly, on one specific guardrail:
When not following best practices, you may spend more time re-creating existing functionality, or debugging a component that is not well designed. There is also the risk that you will implement a feature that does not work correctly.
Those are the consequences given for not following the best practice of reusing existing Pega functionality where possible. If the question had been limited to that one best practice, it would be correct. However, the question was broader, so the answer incorrectly excludes all the other best practices discussed in the lesson.
Cheers,
Elliott
