How to localize the subject of the email for Forgot Password OTP
Hi,
Pega has introduced this "Forgot Password" functionality from Pega 7.3. If user forgets his password, he can reset it from the "Trouble logging in?" link in the log in screen. In this process, system sends out an e-mail with OTP (one time password) to the e-mail address that is associated with the Operator ID. The e-mail looks like below in 8.4.
The e-mail is fully written in English, of course. For some countries we need to localize it into their local languages. Main message can be localized easily, but the subject is not really the case. I've raised an enhancement request (FDBK-71486) and Pegasystems is now working on it. The feature will be available in the future release.
However some customers are using prior version and they still need to localize it. In this post, I have documented a workaround how to do it in the attached. The solution is not graceful, but it still works. You can use this approach temporarily until the feature becomes available.
p.s.
There is a similar use case that system sends out an OTP by e-mail, in case of password change on next login. I've documented how to localize them as well, so please refer to https://collaborate.pega.com/discussion/how-localize-subject-email-password-change-next-login-otp.
Thanks,
