There a 'COMMENT' action available in Data Transforms - which lets you put some text on a single line.

I checked up 8.1.x only - but there isn't an 'inline' comment option available.

If you mean to use COMMENTs as a way of skipping steps, without having to delete them - then you could consider using a 'dummy' WHEN rule (just use 'FALSE') around your block of steps.

What use case(s) were you thinking of in particular? (You might want to consider a couple of ENH requests here is all I'm thinking).

In Data Transform we should have one option to comment the step (similar to // in activities), that would be enable or disable the step.

Not sure of the exact requirement here, but this can be taken as an enhancement request.

If your question is how to make the step to be skipped/not to execute, you can right click on the required step in the data transform and click on disable.

You can enable or disable the step by right click on a specific step but we don't have any comment box like activity where we can add the purpose.

You can prevent any step in the data transform from executing by disabling it.

Right Click on the step. You will see an option Disable.

It works similar to comment. The step will still be present.

You can enable the Disabled step in the similar Process
