Critical HFIX-50867 (Pega Platform 7.4)

Pega has identified the HFIX-50867 as critical for ensuring a productive and secure development experience on our Pega Platform 7.4 release. If you are developing applications on this release version, we strongly encourage you to verify the this hot fix is installed in your environments and, if not, that you submit a hot fix request in My Support Portal to receive the necessary download files for installation.

Description

The hot fix installation process did not honor the install order file in regard to dependent hot fixes.

Root Cause Details from SE-50867:-

The issue is that the hotfix installer doesn't respect the install order info contained within the DL file and is installing the hotfixes in random order.

This issue has been partially addressed in 8.1 GA (per BUG-378228) and newer releases, but installs the parent hotfix first rather than after the all of the dependent hotixes.
