Many OOTB controls in Pega7 already use Javascript.  If you need additional javascript functions the below Pega7 Help topic with the heading "Include only one copy of JavaScript code" will point you in the right direction.

Hi Murali,

You can follow below steps

1) Create a text file with extension as js provide  in that text file below code

if (window.addEventListener) {
     window.addEventListener( "load",functionname, false );
  }
 

2) provide this js file entry in perform harness rule, scripts and styles tab.
