I am Kondala Rao, Head Pega Practice at Truviq Systems (known as Instasmart) here to suggest something we should plan to add value(profile score/rank) to academic profile(pdn profile) based on the learnings (badges) & other credits like certifications, pdn participation &, etc. 

For example, If I look at my profile and if my profile rank shows as intermediator or something then I definitely I can be self-motivated to learn & earn the next level badges or ranks.

I am suggesting here based on my complete experience that people in my current practice & earlier practices were forced to do badges or learnings. If we incorporate this kind of profile ranking or scoring then one can definitely learn or acquire badges in order to get his profile to be more competitive and up to date.
