Thus, processes are used to organize related tasks, as opposed to having many assignments randomly arranged within a stage. There is no blanket criteria to determine if a process is needed, it's a matter of what makes the most logical sense given the goal that needs to be achieved. Processes can be efficient solutions because of their ability to be reused at other points in your application and because of their parallel process functionality.
