Pega Robotics: example of Interrogation and automation Java application?
There are a lot of the questions and answers in different places how to interrogate Java application but I can not find the example how to interrogate a sample Java app from scratch and make the automation. There is the great CRM example how to interrogate Windows and web apps but nothing about Java. Could Pega support team make the blog how to interrogate and create the automation for simple Java app?

Could you create the simple Swing java app "Hello World!" and explain what should be put in Path/Arguments/TargetPath/WorkingDirectory. Do I need to use StartAndWait or Start?

The Path, Arguments, TargetPath are based entirely on circumstance. They have no relation to Java applications specifically... All this information about these properties can be found on the help page which explains each property and its purpose.

I am still not sure what benefit you are looking for from a Java Example. If I had a Java application and the path to it was C:/java.exe, I would put this in the Path and interrogate it as I would a .Net application like the CRM. Maybe there is something else that can be clarified?

I've been there in http://help.openspan.com/80/ . I also reviewed all relevant posts on PDN. There are the pieces of the information or the generic sentences like put your executable in Path and your Java class to Target or other way put your -classpath and Java class to Args but nothing specific. It would be a great help from the vendor which handled by Pega support now to have a good example how to interrogate Java program and create the automation based on the interrogated controls.

I have worked on automating & interrogating desktop based Java Swing application (1.8V where executable is in form of .bat file) ,In Pega Robotics Studio by specifying .bat file as Path & javaw.exe as TargetPath & StartMethod as StartAndWait ,am able to interrogate Controls of java application & develop automations.
Is there some specific confusion that you have with interrogating a Java application? There is no significant differences in interrogating a Java application. This is the primary reason that there is not a specific example of one. The example for the CRM is an example of using a Windows Adapter. The example is not specific to a .Net application and java would be done in the same way as that example.
