Issue

Modal dialogs close prematurely when the Close button action is executed on the mouse-down event instead of the mouse-up event.

Symptoms and Impact

The reported behavior leads to unintended modal closures, especially for accessibility users.

Steps to reproduce

1.Configure a local action to launch in a modal dialog.

2. Use pzModalTemplate for the modal dialog.

3. Verify the behavior at runtime.

Root Cause

The reported behavior is due to an issue with Event handling.

Solution

Update to Pega Platform 25.1.1. The issue is addressed in Pega Platform 25.1.1.

This issue is also planned to be addressed in other future Pega Platform releases as well.  Issues are prioritized based on impact, severity, and capacity. The specific releases for the fix has not yet been determined. This section will be updated with release details when the fix for this issue is available in other releases as well.
