OpenSpanStudio Installation Error

When trying to install OpenSpanStudio, the installation runs until a certain point. Then I receive the following error message: "there is a problem with this windows installer package. a program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. contact your support personnel or package vendor."

I already uninstalled Microsoft Visual Studio from my laptop but it still does not work.

Can someone help me? Thank you and kind regards,

Hi Johannes,

Just to make sure are you running the Open Span Studio .msi or .exe file? When i run the .msi file me too faced the similar issue, so may be you can try to run the .exe file which has the robot icon if you tried with .msi file. Hope it might help you if the issue was due to .msi file.

Follow these steps to install the stand-aloneversion of Pega Robotic Automation Studio.
1. Download and unzip the Robotic Automation Studiosetup file into a temporary folder location.
2. Launch the setup executable file (OpenSpanStudioVS2015Setup.exe). The Pega Robotic
Automation Studio Setup wizard starts.
Note :-

The Setup wizard performs prerequisites system and machine checks before installing Robotic

Automation Studio on your machine. If any programs required to run Robotic Automation Studio are
missing, you are prompted to install them.
